What if you let your body tell you what was wrong and then found the right doctor who could listen to that and guide your body back to a state of balance?
I believe that less is more. My job is to listen to your body and let it guide me on how to release the tension, pain and discomfort from your body as quickly as it can.
Hi, I’m Dr. Elyssa.
I’ve realized over the past decade that so many people are suffering with pain & discomfort when they don’t have to. I’ve worked with a wide spectrum of individuals over the years:
- A mom-to-be with shooting pain down her leg. She can’t stand, can’t sit and is worried that she won’t be well enough to cuddle her baby when they arrive.
- A school age child who is struggling to go #2 and cries out for me during their bouts of constipation.
- A newborn who isn’t sure how to breastfeed and is struggling adjusting to being out of the womb and in this world.
- A 94 year old who wanted to be able to do their daily walk pain free.
This is just a small example of things that come into my office. The daily pains that we say “well it will go away on its own.” “This is common, EVERYONE deals with this pain.” And I’m on a mission to tell my patients and my community that you DON’T have to live with this discomfort. There is help out there for you.
My genius is to look at your body. No patient in my practice has the same treatment, the same treatment plan, the same goals, the same outcomes. Each person who walks in has an individualized plan that works for their body.

Why am I so passionate about patient care?
Because I’ve been there.
Believe me, I know what it’s like to…
- be chronically uncomfortable.
- know that you aren’t well, but no one call tell you why.
- be unable to do my favorite things (golfing with my Dad, cycling with my husband, doing yoga with my friends) because my back hurts so much I can barely move.
- feel like every person has the magically answer to your health issues and not knowing which person to trust with something as important as your body!
Today, after 11 years working with patients and spending 1,000s of hours treating and learning and expanding my knowledge base, I’m here to tell you that there is an answer and a path to start feeling better soon.
I love what I do.
My heart is in helping moms, babies and families become the healthiest versions of themselves.
I’m so passionate about this because I’ve seen the changes in hundreds of families.
- That moment when a mom tells you a baby can latch and feed without pain.
- When a 5 year old walks into your office and goes “Dr. Elyssa I pooped!” fertility story.
- When a woman walks into the office after years of fertility struggles and goes “I’m pregnant.”
I celebrate every win with my patients and I feel every loss.
Why choose me?
I’m not your average chiropractor. When you walk into my office I can promise you that you will not get a cookie cutter treatment plan.

- IN DEPTH CARE
- You’ll experience a thorough exam and history so I know exactly what’s going on with your body.
- CUSTOMIZED TREATMENTS
- Treatments are different every visit. As you are going through your healing journey each time I see you your body will need something different. I look at the body as the whole thing and follow the “strings” that might be twisted or stuck to get to the root cause of what is causing you your pain. As things unwind new layers open up that need to be cleared. So the same treatment doesn’t work each visit.
- ADJUSTMENTS, CRANIOSACRAL, AND MORE
-
- Treatments include chiropractic adjustments, Dynamic Body Balancing (a form of craniosacral therapy and myofascial unwinding), muscle release and more. Sometimes a body needs more force, other times it needs less. Each day you’re in my office I dig in to give your body exactly what it needs to move to its next stage of healing.
- DIFFERENT LENGTH SESSIONS
- You decide how much time you need with me! Ever feel like you finish your appointment with a chiropractor and go “O I wish I could double that up.” Well, you can! I offer single and double sessions so we know that your body gets what it needs.
What’s my experience?
- Graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic, Cum Laude with my Doctorate in Chiropractic.
- Certified in Pregnancy and Pediatrics (CACCP) through the ICPA (International Chiropractic Pediatric Association)
- Dynamic Body Balancing Facilitator & Teacher
- Webster certified.
- BS in Biology from Gannon University
- Functional Neurology series completed.
- Owner of Body & Balance Chiropractic since 2012
- I stay up to date with current research and continuing education including pelvic floor health, tongue ties, postpartum rehabilitation, and pediatric/pregnancy adjusting techniques.

As for my personal life…
I spend my time out of the office with my husband, Greg and my dog, Darwin. We love adventures and take time to travel and explore the world. Our favorite spots: Croatia, London & New Zealand.
I’m constantly striving to be the best version of myself. I’m a continuing education addict and live with the sense that I want to be a lifelong learner.
I love my quiet, creative time and spend many hours each year cross stitching Christmas stockings for my nieces and nephews (So far I’ve made 9!). When I’m not sewing or exploring I’ll be building puzzles, drinking tea and soaking in all that Colorado has to offer.
I’m originally from Erie, PA and we moved to Colorado to have more sun, more fun and more outdoor experiences. I love my road bike and spend the warmer months (I’m a fair weather biker!) exploring the surrounding areas on my bike.
We’ll be a great fit to work together if:
- You are ready to get to the root cause of what is causing you discomfort.
- You understand that healing comes in all forms and are ready to experience a different kind of chiropractic care.
- You are ready to put in the work at home to continue your healing in between sessions with me.
- You’re scared of chiropractors. You had a bad experience before or have never been to one because of fear with the “cracking and popping” sounds.
